The Trends in Industrial Measurements and Automation (TIMA) series is a well-established international conference associated with Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Department of Instrumentation Engineering, Initiated in 1996, TIMA serves as a premier forum jointly organized with professional bodies, bringing together academia, industry experts, and researchers in the field of instrumentation and automation. Dept. of Instrumentation Engineering

The Department of Instrumentation Engineering, MIT Campus at the Madras Institute of Technology, a constituent campus of Anna University, Chennai, India, is one of the pioneering departments in the field of instrumentation and control engineering. Established in 1949, the department has a long-standing tradition of excellence in education, research, and industrial collaboration. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs specializing in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering, focusing on areas such as sensors and transducers, process control, industrial automation, embedded systems, and intelligent measurement systems. The department is equipped with well-established laboratories including process control, industrial automation, embedded systems, control systems, and instrumentation laboratories that support both academic learning and advanced research. The Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University is located in Chennai, India. Established in 1949 by the philanthropist and educationist C.
